Finger Lakes Exotic Birds warrants that, at time of purchase, the bird(s) invoiced are in good health. The BUYER is encouraged to have bird(s) examined by a veterinarian of his/her choice within 5 days of purchase. If during this 5 day period, the bird(s) are found to have a pre-existing condition that affects their health or well-being as determined by examining veterinarian, and proper proof is made available, we agree at our discretion, to either refund to the BUYER the purchase price or to replace said bird(s) with bird(s) of the same species, sex(if known), and age or bird(s) of equal value. Finger Lakes Exotic Birds reserves the right to have a veterinarian of our choice confirm findings. This guarantee is null and void if closed band is absent from said bird(s) or proof of such is not made available upon request. Guarantee excludes unweaned babies.
Unweaned Babies Policy
The health, safety and well being of our baby birds is our greatest concern.
Finger Lakes Exotic Birds will only sell unweaned babies to experienced hand
feeders. References may be requested prior to the sale of unweaned babies.
Deposits & Payments
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a baby to be handfed and weaned. All other purchases require a minimum $50.00 deposit with the balance due prior to shipping. At this time we accept cash, USPS money orders, cashiers checks, bank wire transfers and Paypal. There is a 3% handling fee for processing purchases made through Paypal.

Shipping
All shipping costs are the buyers responsibility including health certificates if required and a $20 to $40 shipping crate charge. We ship Delta out of Rochester New York. Currently, shipping fees range from $101 to $159 depending on shipping weight and which airline has to be used. Multiple birds can be shipped for one price by strapping shipping crates together or using custom built compartmentalized containers. Finger Lakes Exotic Birds pledges to ship your bird(s) within 1 to 3 days after full payment has cleared. This may vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
